Welcome!
Welcome to TESOL Certification
Here I’ll explore teaching English as a foreign language courses as well as ways to get teaching English as a second language certification.
This is a subject that fascinates me…
…as I have been an English reading specialist for the last decade and a teacher all my life.
And teaching English to non-native speakers is in many ways similar to teaching reading to struggling readers.
Plus, I love getting to know people from other cultures and teaching English allows me to get to know people on a much deeper level than when I’m just a tourist.
Do You Dream of Travel?
I got interested in teaching English, as it will help me to fulfill my dream of traveling the world while earning a living.
Then, as it turned out that my previous experience was ideal for teaching others the skills I was learning, I got the idea of taking my TESOL Certification teacher’s business to other countries.
Seems my teacher, had the same idea.
That’s how the plan was born and I’m now learning all I can about teaching english as a foreign language courses and all that entails.

I’m glad you’ve found me. I look forward to helping you!

this sounds very exciting! It is something I am looking into myself, once certified, is it easy enough to get a job teaching English from your experience?
Martin, I’m sure that depends where you are. I found that in Thailand people found jobs easily enough – either in schools or tutoring in private agencies. Harder to make that add up to a full time wage, but it is working.
Congratulations. Hope you are well. I plan on acquiring the certification as well.
Nat, how very exciting. Best best wishes as you travel on in life.
Thanks, Bert! I so appreciate your support.
Hi! I am getting certified in Italy and loving it. I begin classes today and am hoping for the best!
Libby, lucky you! I”d love to be taking TEFL in Italy – and living and teaching there! I’m wondering where you’re hoping to teach English.
